About Persian Language Classes
ICH Persian Language School starts serving Iranian Community in Perth from July 2009 by holding Farsi reading and writing class for children at Melville Recreation Centre, with the primary objective of maintaining the Persian language and cultures of students from Persian speaking background and the secondary aim of increasing the awareness and understanding of all students from different background and cultures toward Persian culture and the Persian Language, which is the reservoir of Iranian thought, sentiment, values and literary arts.
To respond to the growth in demand from the community, ICH Persian Language School has used the library at “Woodland Primary School” for its classes during the year 2010 and the hall of South Perth Primary School, which had more spaces over the year 2011 and term 1 & 2 of year 2012. Increasing number of students & teachers and the rapid growth of activities made the school to move again to a more convenient place.
From July 2012, the ICH Persian Language School operates at Collins Street Centre, South Perth, running Persian Language Classes for young children, children, youth and adults from non-Persian background beginners to intermediate and advanced learners. PLS also offers English language classes for adults and few other courses for children.
